Steps used to change blogspot into co.cc domain

Co.cc is a free domain name service. You can use their service to change your standard site or blog subdomain into a new domain format which look more eye-catching like www.newdomain.co.cc.

Co.cc free domain service not just offer free URL forwarding feature. It also has more advanced features like DNS Records setup, A, MX, and CNAME Records.

With free domain from Co.cc, your Blogger standard URL can be change from olddomain.blogspot.com. Domain is simply a name of specified IP address of a site, it is also called "Web Address" or "URL". You may take free ".co.cc" domain to replace your ".blogspot.com", it is just simple and easy to do. co.cc is a free domain site. We can change our blog domain "name.blogspot.com" to "name.co.cc". To change our default blogspot name to co.cc domain name follow these steps :


1. Open website http://www.co.cc

2. Then check the availability of your domain name on the search box.

3. If it is not available then you have to find another domain name. But if it is available then register yourself.

4. Then you have to setup your domain. Click on "setup --> Manage domain" you will see it on the left hand side.

Zonal Records

1. Fill it with the following :

Host : www.yourdomainname.co.cc
TTL : ID
Type : CNAME
Value : ghs.google.com

2. Click Setup.

The you have to make some setup in your blogger account.

1. Login to Blogger account then choose "Setting --> Publishing"

2. Then choose "Switch to Custom Domain"

3. Then click on "Already own a domain then click on advanced settings"

4. Fill it with your new domain in the "www.yourdomain.co.cc"

5. Save Setting.

Url Forwarding

1. Fill with the following :

Redirect To : www.yourblogaddress.blogspot.com
Page Title : What ever you like
Frame : Url Hiding

2. Click Setup.

Note : It will take few hours for your new domain to work.

If you have choosen "Url Forwarding" then you will be able to open both "blogspot" domain and "co.cc" domain.

If you have choosen "Zonal Records" then your "blogspot" domain will be redirected to your new domain if opened.
You do not need to worry your .blogspot.com domain because if your visitor still use the .blogspot.com domain to visit your blog, they will be redirected to your new .co.cc domain. But unfortunately this free .co.cc domain is only able to use without pay it, only for a year. It means if you want to keep your .co.cc after a year, you need to buy the domain.
